Colorful Quilt- Done

Finally after weeks of inactivity I was able to finish this colorful baby quilt.  I chose to create this pattern after being inspired by a graphic design that had a similar chevron look.  I hope to try this with less colors to perfect the look.  The fabric that I did use was from Robert Kaufman.  I used a clear thread for the quilting.

UPDATE: This Pattern is now available for purchase.

  3. What a pretty quilt! I love that the chevrons are broken by that white sashing. Small sashing's always look so good and they are not the easiest to do. I love solids, and this quilt really shows them off. Thanks so much for linking to Main Crush Monday and sharing your baby quilt!

  6. For the perfect look, I don't think that this needs any less colors... in fact the graduation of colors is what gives a nice design impact. As they say, if it's not broke, then don't fix it. Lovely finish!

  9. Thank you everyone for the kind comments. Surprisingly this quilt was quicker to sew than appears. I sewed the white sashing onto large strips for the rows first and then cut the squares which really cut down on the time.

  17. Wonderful quilt! I just love patterns in rainbow order, and this one is so bright and lovely. The white sashing around each piece steps it up a notch, too. Very clean and professional looking!
